People can only provide you with their opinions, it's you who has to make the decision.
Sometimes, everything and everyone will be against you, you need to be a plane, fly against the wind. If life woulda been easy, everyone would be what they had wanted. But it's not. 
Do what you like.
Do what is good.
Do what makes you happy.
Make sure you make the best out of everything. The quality matters not the quantity.
