Wind plays a vital role in the growth of a tree. Here is what awesci.com says about importance of wind to a tree:-
The presence of wind makes a tree stronger, it is thus able to mature and not fall down due to its own weight. When plants and trees grow in the wild, the wind constantly keeps them moving. This causes a stress in the wooden load bearing structure of the tree.
Let the wind grow you. In this case wind can be anything according to an individual, whether it's people who don't suit to your nature or your values, or things which don't get along with you. Try your best to have a strong mindset, it's necessary so that you grow, once the wind hits you, cause if you got a weak mindset, wind is definitely going to blow you. Let's say even if you got a strong mindset, and the wind is still able to conquer you, but that strong mindset is going to help you aftermath.
Stay rigid, have a strong mindset.
